Global Warming A Hoax? »
Posted By dominian 1 year, 7 months ago in Science & TechnologyA series of respected scientists point out that there is no evidence that man made global warming exists. It is created by a political activist movement. With a multi million dollar science funding involved. It even stopps the development of third world countires causing more poverty and diseases.

I do believe that the Global warming is real, it not a hoax because I can feel the difference in the climatic change that is taking place in every county, and everybody complains the sudden change of climatic condition, you go to any country speak to people they complain about the climate. What happens if you cut all the trees or pollute the rivers and seas? certainly there will be a reaction. You can't beg, borrow or steal the nature.

I truly wonder sometimes.
How is it that we can continue to put something into our atmosphere and not expect it to build up and have any effect?
How it is that we can continue to think that the sky does not form clouds and that the things we put into the air will become rain and come once more to the ground?
How is it that we can continue to put things in the ground, and believe that when a plant grows, that it will not take up what is in the soil, whether this be good, or bad?
How is it that we cannot see that these plants, which grow from the soil we live on, are the plants that we eat, or feed to our livestock, which in turn, we eat.
How is it that we can be so foolish and ingorant, and selfish to not see how everything is interconnected so?
Why do we continue to fight and call each other names, when in the end, we all have the same interests?
No one wants to thier homes destroyed, or the people inside become ill and die.
Is the world not home to us all?

You know I don't know if there is global warming or not, but if you look at the trend in ladied underwear you might believe that. 1000 years ago they covered everything, right down to the ankle. Now a large ribbon could be passed off as panties.
I think there is no doubt we need to protect the environment. The first attack ought to be on world population, not just send money to the unfortunate, but send in teams of doctors to neuter men and women, especially in these third world poor countries. If you reduce the population of the world, you'll automatically reduce global warming. Just last night you could not get John to quit passing gas. That raised the room temperature and our tempers at least 30 degrees! Worldwide this could be catastrophic?

This is the same documentary about to be taken to court due to them telling lies and misquoting people.

The MIT climate scientists they interviewed is pretty ticked off, and called this documentary they tricked him into being in the biggest propoganda piece since WW2....

Except his views are fairly represeted.
There is a recently discovered aprox. 300 year cycle of heating and cooling caused by solar fluctuations. If we are coming to the end of one of those cycles it will start getting cooler in the next couple of decades.
We are at a sunspot high.
Look up Maunder minimum.

I don't understand why the leading scientists from both sides of Global Warming views just can't get together and debate (or have a forum) using scientific fact. Let's hear both sides from a purely scientific point of view and keep all the politicians and lobbyists out of it. I have heard some good evidence from both sides but it could be very beneficial to have the scientists come together and discuss their evidence. What I am sick and tired of hearing is all the ridiculing and name calling. I would have to agree that the debate on Global Warming has moved from a scientific one to a political one. Why else would you have all the name calling and mean spirited bashing of each others views. I even read about a guy from Australia who thinks people who voice their skepticism on Global Warming should be criminalized. See link: http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/artic
That is totally nuts. When I read that I knew this whole issue had truly become political.

You "feel the difference in the climatic" in "every county"? Wow..... So how many frequent flyer miles do you have?
"and everybody complains the sudden change of climatic condition" Every body? All 300million of them in the USA alone.......What does your phone bill look like?

I did fly very frequently, but for the last one and half years I did not fly because I am engaged in some important work, I am unable to fly for another few months, telling you frankly I have been to so many countries including US, Canada, England; the Middle East; South Asia; Japan, Taiwan, China and Australia and I can go on and on I have flown to certain countries not once dozens of times, Why do you want to be sarcastic, it shows that you are just a frog in the American well. Perhaps you are a pauper; you can't afford to fly, so you consider everybody to be like you. What does Global warming has to do with your phone bill, it is America which destroys the environment out of greed, and you always you are not satisfied with anything you have, you want more. That is what made you bog down in Iraq and Afghanistan, you went to steal oil.

(As a result of human activity in the industrial and agricultural activities the current CO2 atmospheric concentrations are at 380 ppm (Parts per Million). Why is this important? CO2 is one of the most important gases in the atmosphere affecting the radiative heat balance of the earth. This is leading to the significant global warming temperature increases by the end of this century!
So is global warming a hoax...lol? HELL NO!!!
Oh as for the evidence that the global warming does not exist ...the "respected" quack scientists should have seen the NASA
Image shots taken by the satellites, as shown at the Full Committee hearing chaired by Sen McCain (R).
So only idiots would make statements to the contrary)
You read what Sandokan had to say, he gave you a detailed account of the Global Warming.

There is no doubt that the earth goes through cycles that go from the ice age to balmy periods that we are experiencing now. 30-40 years ago, the meteorologist were telling the people that bases upon those cycles, we were headed into the cooling cycle that would lead to an ice age but that never happened and the only clear explanation that they have now is the green house effect of CO2.
Everyone is pointing to the industrial revolution and autos as the main cause but I wonder if anyone has taken into consideration the razing of the rain forest in South America as a possible cause. Both could be at fault and both are man made problems and that forest removed a large amount of the CO2 on earth and supplied the O2 need for animal life.

LOL ... Love the way people have no idea of reality. Just a brief reminder of the Full Committee Hearing given for Global Climate Change on Tues, Nov. 16 2004/9:30 AM SR 253: by the folowing top scientists, not just "respected" ...but the top elite scientists of the world: Dr. Robert Corell - Chairman of the Artic Climate Impact Assessment, and Senior Fellow, American Meteorological Society; Dr. Ghassem R. Asrar - Dep. Assoc. Administrator, Science Mission Directorate, NASA; Dr. Scott Borg - Section Head, Antartic Science Section, Office of Polar Programs, Natl. Science Foundation; Dr. Mark Serrez- Research Scientist, Natl. Snow & Ice Data Center, Univ. of Colorado; and scientists like Dr. Richard Feely - Natl. Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; all reported basically that the atmospheric CO2 concentrations ppm have increased 1% per year since the industrial revolution. 400,000 years prior to that the CO2 concentrations ppm was between 200-280.

Maybe if you had watched the video, you would have learned that CO2 concentrations rise as a result of warming oceans, since the soluability of CO2 decreases with increasing water temperature. You have the causality part backwards. Warming leads to higher atmosphereic CO2 concentrations- some hundreds of years later.

It must be completely obvious to everyone that global warming is man-made. We are going through the hottest period since 1750 as shown by historical records of European climate change. Massive deforestation of the rainforests, exponential increases in the burning of fossil fuels in automobiles, aircraft, etc all are contributing to this massive increase in earth temperatures just as it did in.....Err....1750

Quick..run for the hills..the sky is falling....
For the previous comment....who is responsible for all that Ice (15,000 years ago) appearing and then dissappearing. If the Industrial Revolution (which really got into full swing in the early 1800's has caused all the CO2 increase ""which is responsible for global warming"" who/what caused all the ice to dissappear? The Cave Man farts?

Considering the writer is unable to craft a proper sentance I will reserve my judgement on his "findings". If someone had a legitimate peice against the theory of man mad global warming that would be nice to read but this is nonsense...is that what this site has become?? just poorly written garbage from any source??? Again I am not speaking to the topic becuase this article has no credibility, I am somewhere in the middle on climate change, but seriously netscape pulll this piece of crap and somone find a legitimate article which puts forth this reasoning...how is anyone even debating or commenting on this?????

MY, my,
You really are one supercilious prat. This topic is not here for you to demonstrate your superior writing skills. It is here for people to discuss global warming and man's culpability (or lack thereof). Whether the correspondents can spell or not is totally irrelevant. I believe your sobriquet to be a misnomer

Wow, you are correct. "Stopp"??? If you cannot bother to spell check your article or adhere to some minimal standard of grammar then your message, be it worthy or worthless, is hopelessly lost. A cursory glance at this dreck and it's apparent that the writer wasn't dedicated enough to perform basic debugging, so why should I waste one iota of time reading it?

Climate change may be real but most likely not man made.
100K years ago the glaciers covered the Great Lakes. Then temps rose and the glaciers melted. 20K years ago Florida was below sea level. Then temps cooled, ice formed and sea levels dropped. FL literally rose from the sea. All this was before cars or power plants or Al Gore's jets.
Other possible causes:
1. The sun's output is at a cyclical high. This is why Mars is also experiencing warming.
2. Volcanic activity has increased every decade since 1900. Volcanic emission, SO2, is one of the most noxious of the "greenhouse" gases.
In 1890 there were commercial citrus groves throughout FL and coastal SC and GA. By 1960 the north line of commercial citrus was Macintosh, FL. By 1980 the line was Leesburg, FL. Today the line is Kissimmee, FL. The line has moved south over 250 miles since 1890 due to progressively colder winters. Fl is getting colder not warmer.

The issue with your statement is whether you are talking about man-made global warming or just natural climate changes. Ice records and other such viewing glasses into the past have always shown the climate to be in flux. The question is whether or not human beings are causing these changes.
I love this line of stories, as its something that many people don't know about. Things like the hole in the O-Zone layer was already there when we could effectively detect the O-Zone layer, and the lack of evidence to support Global Warming. What I fear, however, is that a backlash will happen and environmental laws could become too relaxed. Global Warming or no, Polution is still a problem.

Thanks for posting I've been wanting to see this documentory. I dont understand why so many people are sinking this. Its imperitive that both sides of the global warming debate be presented. If you've watched the Inconvient Truth, you owe it to yourself to watch an opposing documentory. You don't have to change your mind, just open it.

Well I certainly believe as man goes further in depth into "industrializtion", tearing away at nature's resources, the more likely the possibility of such catastrophies as global warming, the reduction of the ozone layer etc. & such.

Let's look at that theory with a bit of reductio ad absurdum. What if we turned the whole earth into one mass of pollution spewing petrochemical factories, roads and parking lots. No trees. No greenery. No other animals. That wouldn't hurt a thing? You've outdone yourself this time, KingOfTruthiness.
Try to convince the past inhabitants of Love Canal, Bhopal India and Chernobyl that your "unchecked industrialization changes nothing" theory is true. For that matter, try to convince anyone with a grain of common sense.
