Researchers at Vanderbuilt University (from my home state) have discovered a key difference between the thinkin patterns of Conservatives & Liburals. The short answer is that them Liburals tend to think bout pros & cons of issues, while we Conservatives focus on just one side of every story. See? We Conservatives is highly efficent. We dont

You liburals on the other hand, you waste so much time and brain power actually considerin aspects of issues of the day!

Goppy, we conservatives know that liberals like to dig up the same old tired failed crap and call it "new".
Obama likes to use the word "change". Looking at history, I can honestly call it "Marxism".
Yeah! End the Bush tax cuts for the rich!
Who's rich?
Well, to Obama, that's just about anybody with a job.
So when a family of four that makes $50,000 a year pays $8000 more in taxes, I sure do hope that's the change their looking for!

Depends where you're looking for your history, Locky. You certainly advance some interesting concepts.
But it seems that you're allowing intuition a great deal of play, while abandoning your thinking faculties in that dusty old closet where you were never supposed to play.
Now, as for what's in a name, lets look at the name Karl..
Do you perchance also give credence to the suggestions that Mrs Marx chose that name for her boy because he was gay or because he was Jewish or both, which have been propounded elsewhere?
Or believe that he is linked in some sinister manner with the Roveian Karl?

Speaking of messy jeans...My nephew Teddie told me about this article and said that he read about it in the USA Today. He then told me he saw it on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS. I asked him why those conservative channels would publish this story. He said it was a conspiracy against the truth. The truth, he said, was destroyed eons ago when conservatives bought or started most of the newspapers and started to try to control the minds of their readers. They sort of like programmed them with stories showing only one side of the issues. Then I asked Teddie about this self professed professor. He said, "Surely this man is not a real professor because all of them are conservatives, you know that Aunt Tilly." Well, I laughed hard at that truth told to me by Teddie. You see, it would seem that such open disregard for fairness as represented by these two examples of conservative thought control would genetically lead to exactly what this study proves.

So, why would the conservative media highlight this story? I pressed Teddie hard on that one. He said the conservatives tell the people the truth through the media because they are too stupid to believe what they read. Well, I had to agree with him once more. That explains why I think conservativism has genetically altered humans to only focus on what they don't read in papers or learn at their conservative colleges populated by conservative professors. It's really very easy.

MAN ALIVE LOVE LIBBER!!
You shure do seem to have some kinda of an axe to grind with the media!
But, I dont understand. Why do you keep callin it the CONSERVATIVE media?
Every HONEST Conservative knows its WE CONSERVATIVES that own the media. Startin with Clear Channels hunderts of radidio stations, to FOXs hunderts of TV statioins.
Or dint we Conservatives tell you that Clear Channel President is bestest friends with George W?
Dint we tell you that the presdient of FOX is Roger Ailes? The former Republican campaign consultant - you know - somebody in charge of disseminating 'the message'.
ABC - owned by Right Wing, Conservative DISNEY!
CBS - owned by Nuclear Plant maker, WESTINGHOUSE, and whose presdient is Frank Carlucci, another one of GWs inner circle.
NBC - owned by GE - who dontated $1.2 Million to GWs 2000 campaign.
And all them newspapers accrost the land!
So, I really dont know where you are comin from. You dont make no sense, Tilly!

I hear ya Locky!
Them libbies is always takin old wine and puttin it in new bottles!
Whereas we Conservatives, we change all around - in a fundamental way.
We USETA believe in Fiscal Responsibility, but now, with Reagan and Bush 2, we believe in massive deficit spending - and the DEMOCRATS learnt how to manage goverment effectively.
We USETA believe in keepin Goverment outta private lives of Americans, but now, we believe in goverment tellin poor and middle class womin when they ken have babies - AND - we liek to listen to their private conversations.
We USETA believe in STRONG MILITARY, but now, we only believe in strong military SUPPLIERS! We cut fundin for veterans, gut the GI Bill, watch Walter Reed hospital deteriorate, send troops into battle without adequate equipment, fail to anticipate exit strategies, and cut fundin for Head Trauma centers stateside - exactly when theres a rise in head trauma from Iraq!
See? We Conservatives changed a LOT!

Locky claims: "So when a family of four that makes $50,000 a year pays $8000 more in taxes, I sure do hope that's the change their looking for!"
--That sounds pretty scary, Locky but it doesn't make a lot of sense. Why would the Democrats raise taxes on the people Bush has been screwing over for the last 8 years? And when did Obama say he would raise taxes for those making fifty grand? You're just making this stuff up. LOL
In fact, "for people with incomes of more than $200,000 a year, roughly the top 3 percent of earners, the Democratic candidates would essentially revert to the tax regime under President Bill Clinton in the 1990s. The top marginal tax rate would return to 39.6 percent, up from 35 percent currently, for people with taxable incomes of more than $336,550. People with incomes between $200,000 and $336,550 would see their top rate climb to 36 percent from 33 percent today."

Locky12, besides spamming the same comment, dig this FTA:
Liberals' use of that portion of the brain was higher than that of conservatives in the study, suggesting that liberals are more responsive to different ideas, according to the report.
"More liberal people tend to be able to deal with pros and cons of decisions, and as they get more conservative, people like to focus on one side of the story," Amodio said.
There you go dude, we are more intelligent, and use cognitive thinking rather than to dwell on ONE issue adnauseam!

The fact that when liberals are interviewed about who they are voting for all they talk about is their "feelings" negates this study. I'm so sick of seeing these morons saying things like "I feel as if he would make a good president", or "it felt as if he was talking to me". Bunch of sheep is what they are.
Besides, this is from Vanderbilt. The second best school in the sorriest state in the union.

How will we look if we "cut and run"? How will the people of Iraq feel about us if we "abandon" them? How will Iraqis feel about us if we invade their country recklessly, bomb their babies to smithereens and debase and torture their fellow citizens on camera for all the world to see? Won't this create more terrorists in the long run? Ooops... Snuck those last two in just to see if you wingers were payin' attention. ;-p

No, Goppy, it's the left that's actively pursuin' this separation.
It's Hillary's "Media Matters" that scours the airwaves for "offensive" things like "Nappy Headed Hoes" and works to pull advertising and the host off the air.
It's the left in general that wants to impose the Fairness Doctrine because they just can't compete with talk radio.
It's the left that wants to impose universal healthcare that will dictate to you what doctor you see and when you see him/her. Giving to the gov't a right you can keep for yourself in the best healthcare system in the world for about $80 a month.

Secondly, as much as you may not like Bush and Cheney they WORK for their healthcare! It's part of their salary! No need to bankrupt the nation and destroying the industry by letting everyone have it for "free" and then rationing out the care.
The left hates my country. Period.

Hmmm. Thats kinda sessationist on your part, Locky!
Which only proves to any sane, logical, rational person - that you DONT LOVE America - which is a pluralistic society - open to all creeds, beliefs, and political persuasions.
And if you think GW and Dickie are workin any harder than any body else - anybody in the Middle Classes - where basic health care for a family of four will typically cost $800 a month to start - then you have elitist views bout this nation.
By the way, when you say 'my country' you ARE talkin bout the USA, right?

Yes, Locky, Goverments job is to regulate business.

The business of America is Freedom.
The business of America is Liberty.
The business of America is Opportunity.
The business of America is Justice.
The business of America is Freedom of Religion.
BUSINESS is something that exists in every nation on earth - the other I've mentioned DO NOT exist in every other nation.
You sound liek you think Business is some Golden Calf that we should all bow down to.
The fact is, business is sometimes better than government, sometimes worse. But theres nothin 'otherworldly' bout it.
Every nation has Business - even Communist nations - liek the one called CHINA - that Goerge W. Bush has indebted our nation to -- to the tune of $1.4 TRILLION dolloars.
You know, if the business of America is business - Goerge W. Bush would have been fired long ago.
Of course, given that this is the USA, he would have been rewarded for his incredible incompetence with a Golden Parachute.

You're not a conservative.
A real conservative loves the land for clean hunting and fishing.
A real conservative understands that we need a balanced budget, and it begins with NO OIL SUBSIDIES.
A real conservative understands that the greatest nation in the land must protect its borders.
A real conservative understands that we must enforce immigration laws.
A true conservative believes that we must work for a strong dollar.
A real conservative funds the military hospitals and listens to his generals (not wait around until he finds one to do whatever he says)..
A real conservative would see George Bush for the traitor that he is to all of these causes...You have been duped.

All of those things are correct and are things I support with the exception of this one. "A real conservative would see George Bush for the traitor that he is to all of these causes" While I disagree with alot of the presidents decisions, and feel that he is very liberal on most things, I still do not think that he is a traitor to the cause. He was still a far superior choice for republicans than gore/kerry would have been. As we will again see this election year, you can't lways vote for the person who best supports your ideals, because often that person is either not running, or doesn't stand a chance. And a wasted vote is just as bad as not voting. We conservatives could write in a vote for a true conservative, or we could vote for John Mccain and have a better shot of maintaining the White House. Because afterall, he is the lesser of three evils.

--How so? Our country was doing much better in many regards under the Clinton/Gore administration. They worked with Republicans, reforming welfare, balancing the budget, creating goodwill internationally, creating a good economy for *all* Americans. Our country is demonstrably significantly worse off in many ways today than it was the last time a Democrat ran the country and yet you still insist that the GOP deserves a chance to screw things up even more. Why? Because you have to support your team at any cost. Even if they cheat on their wives, marry multiple times, cause both the national debt and the number of people who won't to harm us to burgeon. tang, one major difference between us is that you love to cherry pick the criteria and odd exceptions which serve your argument. Recession or no, Bosnia or no (so you're saying you agree that we SHOULD have stayed the hell out of Iraq, then, after all?), no sane rational person can legitimately argue that the Bush administration isn't a massive failure and that the Clinton administration wasn't largely successful and beneficial to America. And you wonder why you receive so much ridicule?
There were many who believed that Joe McCarthy was a good patriot and Adolph Hitler was a good German.
The smart ones knew when to cut the ties and go back to their cause after having to distance themselves from those who hijacked it under false pretenses.
Maybe some day you'll see that. In the mean time the longer you cling to the stink the more people will hold their noses at you..
You saying that Bush is "liberal" just because he does some things that you don't understand is just plain dumb..
Let me make one thing very clear:
GEORGE BUSH HAS DONE NOTHING..that's NOTHING that liberals would agree with...ok???
Oil subsidies, lowering air and water quality standards, illegal and ill-planned occupations of other highly sectarian nations are not liberal concepts.
So, when confused we know you shout "LIBERAL" but when you do it for George Bush it is laughable and proves your
lack of understanding the political spectrum.

Neocons are kinda neurotic that way. Clinton has an affair while in the White House and they're terrified of what the rest of the world will think of us (as it turned out, wingers were the only ones who cared). Fast forward to the Bush administration... Bush's approval hovers today around 30% and our image worldwide has never been more disgraceful than it is today. To boot, it turns out many of the Repubes who barbecued Clinton were gettin' *their* freak on on the side too. Cons respond by encouraging some of them to run for President. Huh? Confused yet? Hold on...Still unwilling to admit they backed a colossal failure of a human being as President, cons reverse course and insist that what the rest of the world thinks of us doesn't matter. Screeeech...Uh-oh... Our military is disintegrating and the allies we crapped on won't help us fight the war Chimp cut and ran from in Afghanistan. Now what? Doh...Maybe we *do* care what the world thinks of us. Cons are confusing. ;-(
