Scientists have recently created a mouse model for human malignant mesothelioma. The ability to reproduce human mesothelioma in mice will provide valuable insight into cancer development and progression along with new insights for design of treatment strategies and research. My grandfather has this disease...I think any benefits from this research are too late for him, but hopefully it can help others with this devastating disease :(
