Let's make it real. These wonderful animals are the ultimate in green tech.

Just what I need, one of those big babies running a muck in my back yard. Come to think of it I've got this neighbor, you know the type, he could use a mammoth that would shut his dog's yap.

You would get a Mammoth to counter his dog; but remember, he would go and get a T-rex to counter your Mammoth.

Then you would have to get a Supersaurus to beat that,

and then the neighbor would get a whole pack of sabertooths,

which would all be interesting to watch from a helicopter.

Seriously,

Lets say we (well the scientists) can do it. And, if not now, I'm sure, one day ....

Should we do it? Even tough I think it would be great to see a "live" mammoth, should we really do it? How far can or should we go??

That's what I wonder too.

I would love to see a real Mammoth, but, -

Elephants are very intelligent. Their brains are twice the size of humans ( fewer wrinkles there though ). They know when they are looking in mirrors at themselves.

It is wrong to experiment on them.

But tempting.

The body of a frozen woolly mammoth has been discovered by a reindeer herder in a subarctic region of Siberia. It has its trunk and eyes virtually intact and even some fur remaining, said Alexei Tikhonov, deputy director of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Zoological Institute. Wooly mammoths are thought to have existed between 40,000 and 10,000 years ago.

The Ice Age beast has been sent to Japan for study by scientists.

Bi-ig mistake.

The Japanese said they thought it would taste very good and were preparing vats of whale soup to go with it.

This is ominous.

Has anyone ever seen a movie about a Japanese experiment, that did not end badly for Tokyo and all mankind?
