It's been clear to me for a while that the sinking of the Titanic was the work of Al-Qaeda. :)

Seriously though, my belief is that there had to be some kind of major flaw that caused a ship of that size to sink that fast. A pretty convincing observation from the article says that the Titanic's damage ends where the company switched from iron to steel rivets. A coincidence? Maybe. But the article makes sense from top to bottom.
