    I call it Spring.

And it's going to get warmer before it gets cooler :)

thats what we've been trying to tell you.

and next time, instead of calling it "spring", remember to call it "the warmest spring on record" so you can be accurate.

Every one knows my position on this subject and I find this particularly interesting since we just had a cold front move through us this week. The last three days we've used the heat in the morning and I'm in Ocala Florida. This is a first after 30 years in Florida that I remember having it this cool so far into Spring.....CLIMATE CHANGE is here.

"Basically, its people who are just a few decades behind the times, and slow to catch up to the rest of the world" We don't have decades to wait for them to catch up any more.

Shall we just proceed without them? A lot is gonna depend on who we elect, especially to our Federal Governemnt. Can any of us be one-issue voters on this?

The bad weather in March in many states, with tornadoes and flooding, is more like late April or early May weather! This is interesting!

      Good article, thanks Mark!

I have to disagree. People were saying that, especially after the Atlanta tornadoes, however March is traditionally the stormiest month for Ga.

2008 has been a very interesting year as far as global climate is concerned. I've seen several stories over the past few months from the global warming skeptic crowd that have pronounced global warming dead because of the very cold winter we had in many regions. Now we fast-forward to spring and global temperature anomalies have rebounded in a major way. The RSS, UAH, HadCRUT, and GISS global temperature profiles have all shown that in March global temperatures have skyrocketed over the lows observed over the past few months.

Yeah, it happens every year about this time. It's called "Spring".

What most global warming models predict are shorter, more intense winters, with longer, hotter summers.

I wish some of the warmth would reach Portland. We are 10-15 degrees cooler than normal. Last Saturday it was 86 degrees--now it's back in the 40's and we're supposed to get snow on Sat. I've never seen a spring like this before.

Increased turbulence, or variability are an aspect of increasing heat being added to an environment. In Southern California there were record-breaking temps. one day, the next day there were up to 30 degree drops in temps.

Funny the old Director of NOAA did not buy into Gullible Warning , so he was asked to resign , now with the new Director look what reports we see , hmmmm .

Gullible Warning causes Global Cooling , Ice melting cools the Oceans , thus causing a cooler environment for cooler weather .

Keep your stick on the Ice .

Were you talking about the political hack who LIED about his education, and tried to censor one of the foremost experts on the phenomena of climate change? Funny how you didn't mention this.

What are your science qualifications for passing JUDGMENT on this dynamic? I think we'd ALL like to hear them (cherry-picking info., and listening to Limbaugh does NOT qualify as science training).
