          Yes, it's breathtaking, because light from these galaxies takes so long to get here. We're seeing stars and galaxies in the night sky as they were thousands, millions, and billions of years ago.

              Great stuff, especially the Cartwheel Galaxy where it was hit by another galaxy. Guess the celestial traffic light didn't work!

                        That link's an absolute spellbinder, ET.

                        Just mind-blowing images of what the Hubble is "seeing". Other amazing images include the "Pistol Star" -- emitting as much energy in seconds as the earth's sun does in one year.
